ABOUT OUR TEAM
Peerless Cleaning & Restoration Services began this journey
in 1945 as Peerless Curtain Cleaners with only four employees and two vehicles.
Original owners Harold and Jean Bird provided household care, eventually adding
dry cleaning services. In 1978 the Wike family purchased the company continuing
the tradition of excellence. Expanding the business scope, fire, garment and
water restoration services were added in 1980. Success in this arena and
increasing commercial and residential needs led to growth in the 90s offering
electronic restoration, mold remediation and trauma scene recovery services.
The Cleaning Division also continued growing adding tile and grout cleaning and
air duct cleaning to an already successful carpet and upholstery cleaning
flagship.
Today, under the second generation of Wike family
leadership, we employ over forty professionals and have a large fleet of
vehicles and equipment serving Central Illinois. Since the beginning we’ve
built a reputation for excellent service and professional quality. We strive to
foster our mission of caring for our customer’s needs by continually investing
in new technology, training and education and in caring for our community
through active participation and support of philanthropic and charitable
pursuits.
In 2003, Peerless Cleaning & Restoration Services was
honored to be named the Outstanding Small Business for Decatur and Macon County
by the Decatur Metro Chamber of Commerce.
